Why
What We Do
Who We Are
How It Works
The network's approach to business is segmented in four stages:

1.   Locating opportunities

2.   Due diligence by members

3.   Assembly of Entree Network team

4.   Valuation Enhancement

5.   Exit

Locating Opportunities

The Internet Infrastructure

One of the most innovative approaches The Entree Venture Network offers is the usage of the Internet to selectively publish details of a developing project. Members can easily review the entire history of an opportunity, and make a decision whether they want to participate. Opportunities are managed on a secure Internet site. Members are provided with password entree to the site. Communication is handled via e-mail and traditional methods.

The Entree Venture Network uses the Internet as a medium for attracting  opportunities. Using Web sites and e-mail, the network attracts over 100 solicitations per day. Each opportunity is provided with an initial review, and opportunities that fit in the network’s matrix are passed on to stage two.

Due Diligence

The Entree Venture Network offers/assigns opportunities to members based on abilities and geographic proximity. The member analyzes the opportunity and performs extensive due diligence. If deemed appropriate, and if the opportunity has substance, it is presented back to the group. The communication medium once an opportunity is determined appropriate is the web site. The Entree Venture Network uses secure Internet sites to communicate all details of the opportunity, reducing the need to rely on traditional, less efficient communication mediums.

Assembly of Entree Network Team

Members of the network can become involved in an opportunity either by a) informing the group that they want to be involved.  or b) approached by the network because their talents or position might help the opportunity. At this stage, The Entree Venture Network assembles a contract with the client. Specific members, as individuals, are provided with terms of the contract. The Entree Venture Network handles all legal structuring of the contract, serving as a focal point for contract development, and in return the network management receives a portion of any opportunity handled.

Valuation Enhancement

The interests of founders can be furthered by retention of equity and valuation improvement by means of the right strategic partner, access to a major product or technology user, a provable model and strong management and advisory critical mass. The Entrée Network works with principals to that end by means of targeted identifiable objectives.

 Exit

The Entree Venture Network members make decisions on a personal basis as to the length of involvement or amount of time investment with a particular opportunity. Often, the exit occurs although clients sometimes retain a member or members with an offer of ongoing consulting.

As such, they can be very valuable to an aspiring young company. Other angel investors include lawyers, accountants, and other accredited investors eager to participate in higher-risk, higher-return investment opportunities.
